In some way many of us have experienced her story in this life and others. She was betrayed by those she loved, burned at the stake, yet did not die. Her story tells her feelings, her disbelief that this could be happening to her.

The quality of her being comes forth in her determination to remain true to herself. and continue to be a healing presence in her community.

Illustrations by Barbara were created in the 60's and 70's when she first started on her spiritual path, exploring herself as woman, as spirit, as artist.

The story came after a dream in the 90's. She sat up in bed and transcribed the story one line at a time. The images she had painted 20 years before flashed before her eyes as illustration to the story now being written.
